New State Coordinators Named for Operation Lifesaver Programs in Idaho, South Dakota
WASHINGTON, DC, January 8, 2015 — Operation Lifesaver, Inc. (www.oli.org) President and CEO Joyce Rose announced two new state coordinators for the nonprofit rail safety education organization: Travis Campbell will lead Idaho Operation Lifesaver, succeeding Kim Davids, and Moira Beznoska will take over the South Dakota program from interim coordinator Connie Greguson.
Campbell, a Nampa resident, has been a volunteer with Operation Lifesaver for three years and has been involved in public service for 16 years. Honorably discharged in 2004 after serving seven years in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, he holds a degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from George Washington University. A dedicated father and husband, Travis has been a locomotive engineer for Union Pacific Railroad since 2004.
“Travis Campbell knows firsthand the importance of crossing safety and pedestrian rail trespass prevention, and we are pleased to welcome him as Idaho Operation Lifesaver’s state coordinator,” said Rose. “We are grateful to Kim Davids for his work in raising the profile of the program across the state of Idaho,” she noted.
Beznoska lives in Sioux Falls and is currently office coordinator with the South Dakota Safety Council. Before joining the Safety Council, she was a research coordinator and financial advisor for Midland Group, and previously was a hospital community and childbirth educator. Beznoska has more than 15 years of experience as an educator in the medical field, and holds a degree in Human Services.
“Moira Beznoska’s expertise in health-related education makes her a wonderful choice to lead South Dakota’s Operation Lifesaver program, and we look forward to working with her on increasing rail safety awareness and community outreach for all South Dakotans,” said Rose. "We appreciate Connie Greguson's contributions to OL over the years, both as a previous state coordinator and as interim state coordinator since August."
