Operation Lifesaver ILCAD Events Planned Throughout the U.S.

Operation Lifesaver (http://www.oli.org), the national, nonprofit rail safety education group, will hold press events in six states around the U.S. to unveil its new Rail Safety Challenge – an interactive online learning program for professional truck drivers –to coincide with the observance of International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD).

Other Operation Lifesaver events are being held throughout the week in 14 additional states. A table with details of these events is below.

International Level Crossing Awareness Day began in 2009 in Europe to call attention to the need for public education on railway safety issues as a way to save lives. This year, 39 countries worldwide are holding events in observance of ILCAD. Learn more at http://bit.ly/mESlkU.
