Operation Lifesaver leaders, safety partners to gather June 26-28 for Leadership Workshop in Denver
WASHINGTON, DC, April 24, 2012 - Operation Lifesaver, Inc., (OLI, www.oli.org) the nonprofit rail safety education organization, will hold a Leadership Workshop (formerly called the International Symposium and Training Seminars) at the Embassy Suites Downtown/Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, June 26-28, 2012.
The event will bring together rail safety education leaders from North America and around the world to explore the latest information and innovations on improving safety at level crossings and along railroad rights-of-way. Using marketing communications and social media in public safety education, transit safety, and international issues will be among the topics covered.
“We look forward to sharing new ways to educate drivers and pedestrians to stay safe around tracks and trains in collaboration with our program leaders and safety partners,” said OLI President Helen M. Sramek.
The one and one-half day Leadership Workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, and will end at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 28. Registration for Operation Lifesaver program leaders and trainers will begin May 7.
