Chantez Bailey Joins Operation Lifesaver, Inc. as Director of Communications
Washington, D.C. (July 22, 2019) -Operation Lifesaver, Inc. (OLI) welcomes Chantez Bailey as its director of communications and marketing. Bailey brings over 10 years of experience in nonprofit marketing and brand awareness to the national rail safety education organization.
“We are very excited to welcome Chantez to the OLI team. She is a creative innovator with a wealth of branding and public relations knowledge and a deep skillset in marketing and communications,” said Rachel Maleh, Executive Director of OLI.
Bailey will focus on implementing a marketing strategy that leverages OLI’s position as the leading national rail safety education nonprofit, increasing its visibility with the general public and supporting its mission to save lives. Bailey's responsibilities also include serving as a news media contact, developing rail safety awareness campaigns, and working with state Operation Lifesaver programs throughout the U.S.
She held previous positions in communications and marketing with nonprofit organizations including the National Crime Prevention Council, National REACH Coalition and the Association of American Medical Colleges. Bailey’s talents encompass public relations, brand awareness and strategic outreach efforts to expand an organization’s reach and overall impact.
A Maryland native, Bailey studied English with a concentration in Journalism and obtained her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Maryland, College Park.
About Operation Lifesaver
Operation Lifesaver is a nonprofit public safety education and awareness organization dedicated to reducing collisions, fatalities and injuries at railroad crossings and preventing trespassing on or near railroad tracks. A national network of trained volunteers and state coordinators give free presentations on rail safety and a public awareness campaign, “See Tracks? Think Train!” provides tips and statistics to encourage safe behavior near the tracks. OLI leads an international observance of Rail Safety Week each September.
